WORLD GOSPEL KINGDOM TRACTS
Unlocking the Mystery of Human Life
“Listen! Behold, the sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, seeds
fell beside the way, and the birds came and devoured them. And others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much earth, and immediately they sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered. And others fell on the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them. But others fell on the good earth and yielded fruit, one a hundredfold, and one sixty-fold, and one thirty-fold.” Mark 4:3a; Matthew 13:3-8
The sower is the Lord Himself, the seeds are the Word of the Kingdom, and the Lord Himself is the Seed of Life in the Word. The Son of God came to sow Himself as the Seed of Life in His Word into men’s hearts that He might grow in them, live in them, develop in them and be expressed from within them as the farm of God for the building up of the Church as the House of God and the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 3:9).
Let’s pray a simple prayer:
Oh Lord Jesus, Oh Lord Jesus I open my whole heart to You. I confess that I am a sinner, please forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me by Your precious blood. Oh Lord Jesus, cleanse my heart from all hidden sins and personal desires that You, as the Seed of Life, may take root and grow in me! Save me from the anxiety of this age and the deceitfulness of riches. Make my heart the good earth that is not hardened by worldly traffic. I give every inch of my heart to receive You as the living Word of God. I now ask You to sow Yourself into my heart that I may receive You as the Seed of Life. Thank You for coming into me as the Seed of Life that You may take root and grow in me, live in me, develop in me and be expressed from within me! Amen!
Will you let Christ as the seed of life take root in your heart?
The seed sown beside the way refers to the place close to the way. It is hardened by the traffic of the way; thus, it is difficult for the seeds to penetrate it. The wayside signifies the heart that is hardened by worldly traffic and cannot open to understand, to comprehend, the Word of the Kingdom. The birds signify the evil one, Satan, who comes and snatches away the Word of the Kingdom that is sown in the hardened heart.
The seed sown in the rocky places that do not have much earth signify the heart that is shallow in receiving the Word of the Kingdom. Deep within such a heart are rocks—hidden sins, personal desires, self-seeking and self-pity—which hinder the seed from taking root in the depths of the heart. The sun with its scorching heat signifies affliction or persecution. The scorching heat of the sun causes the seed that is not rooted to wither. The heat of the sun is for growth and ripening of the crop, which take place once the seed has been deeply rooted. But because of the seed’s lack of root, the sun’s heat, which should cause growth and ripening, becomes a deathblow to the seed.
Will you let Christ as the seed of life come in, take root, and grow in your heart?
The seed sown on the good earth signifies the good heart that is not hardened by worldly traffic, that is without hidden sins, and that is without the anxiety of the age and the deceitfulness of riches. Such a heart gives every inch of its ground to receive the Word that the Word may grow, bear fruit, and produce even a hundredfold. Are you willing to give your heart all the ground for the Word to come into you as the Seed of Life?
Won’t you open your heart and let Christ sow Himself into you and make you fruitful?

The seed sown on the thorns signify the anxiety of the age and the deceitfulness of riches, which utterly choke the Word, preventing it from growing in the heart and causing it to become unfruitful.
Let us walk becomingly as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in fornication and licentiousness, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts.
